TTP transcripts were visualized by RNA in situ hybridization at 2 hours post injury (A) and nuclei counter-stained with Hoechst 33342 (B). There is a close correlation of TTP transcripts with a small proportion of the nuclei in the damaged area (arrowheads). The arrow indicates the occasional intense digoxigenin signal that quenched the Hoechst fluorescence of the underlying nucleus.
