An untransfected cell (A, bottom left) shows the characteristic SMN distribution of diffuse cytoplasmic signal and nuclear Cajal bodies. A transiently transfected cell (A top right, and B) shows accumulation of GFP-SMN and CFP-SMN in the cytoplasm (arrows).
