The mcp6+-gfp dsred-sad1+ strain (ST142) was induced to enter meiosis by nitrogen starvation. After 6 hours of incubation, the cells were collected and fixed with methanol for microscopic observation. The GFP signal is green, the DsRed signal is red and Hoechst 33342 staining is blue.
