E18 rat cortical neurons were transfected with tau-EGFP or ${alpha}$ -synuclein-EGFP, fixed after 48 hours, immunostained for kinesin-1 and visualised by laser confocal microscopy. The merged images show yellow areas (arrows) that indicate colocalisation of tau or ${alpha}$ -synuclein with kinesin-1 immunoreactivity. Bar, 10 µm.
