Monoclonal antibody AA6 recognises a single, high molecular weight protein band corresponding to MAP1B. Monoclonal antibody SMI-31 also recognises MAP1B but, in addition, several lower molecular weight protein bands probably corresponding to neurofilament and nuclear epitopes (Lichtenberg-Kraag et al., 1992).
