Cells were treated with or without 50 µg/ml cholesterol at 37°C for 1 hour and incubated with and without 100 pM TGF-1 at 37°C for 30 minutes. The cells were then fixed with cold methanol and incubated with a goat antibody to TR-I (e-h) and rabbit antibody to caveolin-1 (a-d) followed by incubation with Rhodamine-conjugated donkey anti-goat antibody or FITC-conjugated mouse anti-rabbit antibody.
