Observations on the Development of certain Cell types in the Fundic region of the Rabbit's Stomach

1. Pre-oxyntic cells, arising from a non-mucoid cell, appear on the 20th or 21st day of foetal life.

2. Cells of Twort appear first at the end of the 4th week after birth.

3. Combined oxyntico-peptic cells are occasionally found in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks after birth.

4. Another type of cell, demonstrated by Wigglesworth's method, is found in the 4th week after birth.
