9 cells were treated for 60 minutes with (open symbols) or without (closed
symbols) 500 µM AICAR. Uptake of
[3H]3-O-methyl-D-glucose was then measured at 6°C in
the presence of increasing concentrations of hexose as described in the
Materials and Methods. Transport parameters were estimated by direct fitting
of a rectangular hyperbola to the data using non-linear regression (Sigma
Plot, Jandel). Data shown are means±s.e.m. (3).
