Time-lapse movie of a dividing Chlamydomonas cell transformed with GFP-tagged SF-assemblin (SFA). The 12 frames were recorded over a period of approximately 22 minutes. Note the movements of SFA-GFP aggregates with velocities of up to 0.4 µm/minute. The images were recorded using a 16x excitation reduction filter.

Time-lapse movie of the same cell in phase contrast covering a period of approximately 30 seconds. This series contained eight frames recorded 15 minutes after the start of GFP image recording to demonstrate viability of the cell. Note the pulsing contractile vacuoles.
