The cells contained globular aggregates, in addition to a slightly elongated signal near the cell apex (arrows). Both signals were comparably weak. (B) Western blots stained with anti-SFA (top, bottom) or anti-GFP (middle) of whole cells, cytoskeletons, and supernatant of AS5-GFP34 cells. SFA-GFP was detected almost exclusively in the soluble fraction of AS5-GFP34 cells. Note the reduced amounts of wild-type SFA in GFP8 and especially AS5-GFP34 when compared with controls (bottom).
