Confocal image of a frozen section of mouse kidney stained with antibodies to myosin VI (visualized with a FITC-conjugated secondary antibody) and rhodamine-conjugated phalloidin to stain F-actin. Actin (red) is most prominent in apical microvilli in the proximal tubules of the kidney. Myosin VI (green) is enriched in the endocytic region at the base of the microvilli. Bars, 10 µm.
