Movies 1-3. Examples of cell response to shear flows. Cell culture medium flows from right to left. Cell shape undergoes relatively large fluctuations, while the nucleus shape is mostly unaffected. The nucleus undergoes rigid-body motion though the cytoplasm of sheared cells. Each movie describes a different cell.
Movie 4. Long-time nanotracking of nucleoli in unsheared cells. Images were collected for 40 minutes. The distances between the nucleoli changed by less than 2%.
Movie 5. Three-dimensional stack of combined phase-contrast micrographs of the cell and fluorescent micrographs of the probe nanospheres.
