Approximately 2.5 hours later, an aliquot of cells in BWW -Ca2+ was placed into complete BWW (lane 3) and challenged with 2.5 µM A23187 for a further 30 minutes. The level of acrosome reaction was then counted as described in Materials and Methods. The graph represents the mean and standard deviation of three independent experiments; *P<0.05.
