  Movie 1. Time-lapse fluorescence microscopy illustrating assembly of the FSM that was visualized by GFP-Psy1. The gfp-psy1⁺ gene on the chromosome was expressed by the psy1 promoter. Cells were stained with Hoechst 33342 (red) and incubated on sporulation medium. Images were taken every 2 minutes (30 frames) and played back at a rate of 3 frames per second.
