uptake in mock-depleted (a) and GAK-depleted cells (b). Cells were imaged using
the confocal microscope after internalizing Alexa546-BSA for 30 minutes at
37°C. (B) Confocal images of cytosolic GFP-clathrin in the identical
GAK-depleted cell were taken before (a) and after (b) BFA addition. (C) Western
blot showing the level of EGFR in mock-depleted (lane 1) and GAK-depleted cells
(lane 2). EGFR was immunoprecipated and then run on SDS gels and blotted as
described in Materials and Methods.
