Fig. 6. Images of localisation patterns of mutant (G11R)Cx30 and wild-type connexins in co-transfected NEB1 keratinocytes. Cells were co-transfected with a combination of two constructs at a ratio of 1:1. Unlike (G11R)Cx30 on its own, any combination of (G11R)Cx30 with wild-type connexin produced a punctate pattern of localisation in the cytoplasm. Additionally combinations of (G11R)Cx30 with (wt)Cx26 or (wt)Cx30 produced small aggregates at cell-cell contacts.
