Fig. S1. Dynamin-K44A (DN-Dyn) inhibits endocytic transferrin uptake. Representative images of COS-7 cells overexpressing either wild-type (wt-Dyn) or mutant dynamin (DN-Dyn; dynamin-K44A; Damke et al., 1994) were incubated with AlexaFluor488-conjugated transferrin (TF; 10 mM; Molecular Probes) for 60 minutes at 4°C. After washing into culture medium again, transferrin uptake was imaged 15 minutes after return to 37°C. Note that DN-Dyn prevents significant endocytic transferrin uptake.
