(A) ccr4{Delta} crt1{Delta} (MT3771), ccr4{Delta} pbp1{Delta} (MT3777), wild-type (BY4741), ccr4{Delta} (MT3768), crt1{Delta} (MT3770) and pbp1{Delta} (MT3776) strains were tested for HU sensitivity by serial dilution analysis, as described in Fig. 2. (B) Indicated strains were assessed for irreversible HU sensitivity using a spiral plating system, as described in Fig. 2C. (C) Rad53 activity and phosphorylation were assessed in ccr4{Delta} dun1{Delta} (MT3772), ccr4{Delta} dun1{Delta} crt1{Delta} (RSYS07) and wild-type (BY4741) strains after exposure to 0.2 M HU for 3 hours, as described for Fig. 3.
