The mean evoked fEPSP across all mice is plotted as a function of stimulus strength for NP^+/+ (circles), NP^+/– (triangles) and NP^–/– (diamonds) mice. There was a significant decrease between NP^–/– and NP^+/+ mice  at stimulation intensities of 500 and 600 mA. Asterisks represent statistical signification between NP^+/+ and NP^–/– mice. *P<0.05.
