The dibY chimera contains a mutation in the extracellular domain of Torso that causes less ligand-independent signalling than the mutation used in the original dib chimera, presumably due to less dimerization. The dibY chimera recruits less talinH-GFP (B) to the cell cortex compared to the original dib chimera (A).
