  Fig. S1. The monospecific α-SAFB1 and α-SAFB2 antisera are pre-absorbable with their corresponding peptide, and detect a protein of similar size to the pan α-SAFB monoclonal antibody 6F7. Western blots containing samples of HeLa cell nuclear extracts were separated by SDS-PAGE and separately probed with antisera with no pre-treatment (lanes 1, 4 and 7); after pre-absorbtion with the corresponding immunising peptide (lanes 3 and 6); and after mock preabsorbtion with the heterologous immunising peptide (lanes 2 and 5). The migration of molecular size markers in kDa is indicated on the right of the figure.
