More intense BAX labeling in both germ cells, identified with GCNA1 labeling (arrowheads), and somatic cells, compared with 12.5 d.p.c. (C) 18.5 d.p.c. Intense BAX labeling in both germ (arrowheads) and somatic cells. (D) 21.5 d.p.c. Intense BAX labeling in the cytoplasm of oocytes (arrowheads), particularly of large oocytes in the central region; BAX labeling in somatic cells has diminished. GCNA1 labeling is only in the germ cells in the peripheral region.
