Note that these cells also contain vimentin. A and B show that synemin colocalizes with IF in perinuclear (A), intermediate and peripheral cellular regions (B). In the latter, color variations occurring within individual fibers indicate variable ratio of vimentin and synemin. Bars, 5 µm (A); 0.5 µm (B).
