Files in this Data Supplement:
Movie 1. Furrows form and ingress around all nuclei in wild-type Drosophila embryos. Single-plane time-lapse confocal imaging showing that PM furrows (GFP-Spider) ingress in a wild-type cellularizing embryo. Images were collected at the embryo equator to capture furrows in cross-section (at 30-second intervals over 55:00).
Movie 2. Some furrows regress in nulloX embryos. Single-plane time-lapse confocal imaging showing that PM furrows (GFP-Spider) ingress in a nulloX cellularizing embryo. Three types of furrow dynamics are seen in nulloX embryos: (1) furrows that ingress ∼40 µm at rates comparable to wild-type; (2) furrows that ingress to lengths >5 µm then regress (second arrow); and (3) furrows that ingress to a length of only ∼5 µm then regress (first arrow). Images were collected at the embryo equator to capture furrows in cross-section (at 30-second intervals over 55:00).
