(B) The Star allele S05671 by itself resembles the wild type. (C,D) In combination with Dhc mutations Dhcγ4163A or Dhc6-10, the S05671 mutation produces a wing vein phenotype where L5 is incomplete and abruptly ends before reaching the wing margin. Movie 1. Spitz-GFP vesicle movement in S2 cells. When cotransfected with Star, Spitz-GFP forms vesicles that are transported in a linear fashion in S2 cells. Acquisition was 1 frame per second for 1 minute. Playback is 15 frames per second.
