(A) sodC– cells failed to aggregate in submerged culture at low cell density (2.5x10 cells/cm), where wild-type cells aggregate normally. (B) sodC– cells displayed normal development when plated at high cell densities (1.25x10 cells/cm) at which chemotaxis can be bypassed.
