  Fig. S1. Sodium current of Na_v1.8 in DRG neurons and transfected cells. (A) Using the whole-cell patch clamp, Na_v1.8 currents in dissociated small DRG neurons were induced by depolarizing steps between −20 and +50 mV in 10-mV increments, at a holding potential of −70 mV. The same procedure was applied to ND7-23, COS-7 and HEK293 cells, or those cells transfected with Na_v1.8-GFP. The endogenous Na_v1.8 currents could not be detected in ND7-23, COS-7 and HEK293 cells. (B) COS-7 cells transfected with Na_v1.8-GFP were immunofluorescently labeled with antibody against calnexin. Scale bar: 10 µm.
