(A-C) Treatment of primary microglial or astrocyte cultures with LPS or staurosporine for 24 hours led to a significant increase in C/EBPβ expression. The expression of C/EBPβ was evaluated by (A) western blot analysis, and confocal microscopy of (B) microglia and (C) astrocytes using DF77-specific antibody. Cultures were also stained with anti-CD11b (OX-42) or anti-GFAP antibodies to detect microglia or astrocytes, respectively. Representative results of three different experiments are shown.
