Journal of Cell Science Advance articles are posted online before the final issue in which they appear is published. Upon release of the article's scheduled issue, the Advance article (which may not be the final version) will move from the Advance articles page to the issue's full Table of Contents in its final edited form, with page numbers. A link to the Advance version of an article is always available from the final version, in the right-hand navigation bar.
Journal of Cell Science Advance articles also include the accepted manuscripts as submitted by the authors. These papers have been peer-reviewed, accepted and posted online (subject to the author's agreement), prior to copyediting, proofreading and typesetting. Copyediting may correct errors and lead to minor differences between the advance version and the final version. There may also be differences in the quality of the graphics. The accepted manuscript remains on the Advance articles page until it is either replaced by a copyedited and typeset version or when the final version of the article is published in an issue. Please note that this option is not available for all accepted manuscripts and is subject to the Editor's approval. Editorial considerations may include coordinated publication or press release, or unsuitability of the accepted version of the PDF.
Please note that Supplementary Information will not be available for an article until it has been published in a journal issue.
