About the Cover
Cover: A montage made with an image of the fertilisation calcium wave in an ascidian egg injected with calcium green dextran (1 minute after sperm entry). The image was multiplied four times and brought together to give the mandala-like shape. The triangles you can see on the sides mark the animal pole of the egg. For more information, see the commentary by Dumollard et al. in this issue, pp. 3557-3564.
