About the Cover
Cover: Seminiferous tubule of human testis showing expression of the origin licensing repressor Geminin (red) in mitotic and meiotic cells. Geminin is persistently expressed as cells move inwards towards the lumen (spermatogenesis) and is abundant within pachytene spermatocytes in prophase of meiosis I. Because replication licensing factors are present in primary spermatocytes, Geminin may block replication in the male germline genome. See article by Eward et al. (pp. 5875-5886).
