About the Cover
Cover: Fluorescence micrograph of a mammalian cell co-transfected with Arabidopsis thaliana kinesin-5 (AtKRP125c, blue) and an RNAi construct targeting Eg5 (red). Microtubules are green. The monopolar spindle indicates AtKPR125c cannot substitute for Eg5 although knocking down AtKRP125c in A. thaliana causes monopolar spindles, suggesting a conserved mechanism for kinesin-5 function. See article by A. Bannigan et al. (pp.2819
-2827).
