      Fig. S1. mRNA in situ hybridisation in dila mutants. dila mRNA (blue) is detected in homozygote (A,C,E) and heterozygote (B,D,F) stage 14 embryos for the three dila deletions. Heterozygote embryos were recognised by expression of Kr-GFP from a transgene carried by the CyO balancer chromosome (brown). (A,B) The dila81 homozygyote (the largest deletion) shows an extensive loss of mRNA expression compared with the heterozygous. (C−F) Expression in dila244 and dila57 homozygotes is less reduced.

Rescue of the behavioural phenotype confirms that CG1625 is responsible for the observed phenotypes rather than the adjacent CG30001.
