  • Polyploid metaphase and anaphase cells are observed in homozygous vibS110416, although the percentage of such polyploid cells is decreased in the hemizygous combination. This might indicate that the occurrence of polyploid cells is due to a second site mutation in vibS110416. Nonetheless, a small number of polyploid cells are present in the hemizygous combination, giving rise to the possibility that these are a result of the mutation in vibrator.
